22^nd October 2019
The breadth of plants available to gardeners today owes much to plant hunters of a bygone age. Brian Gomm will explain the role of Reginald Farrer amongst others in introducing new plants to Britain and particularly around his home in Clapham.

26^th November 2019
Lowther Castle gardens have recently been the subject of a project to recapture and restore the 17^th century layout together with layers of later design. Local historian, and supporter of Dales ponies, Janet Niepokojczycka will share with us some of the history and the more recent work of the Lowther Trust in producing a stunning visitor attraction. 
As the club is celebrating its 30 year anniversary, this meeting will include a Jacob’s Join light finger buffet and wine instead of the usual mince pies. Former members are most welcome.
There is no meeting in December.
